Today I’m feeling blessed and excited. We’re traveling to Cabo to celebrate my husband’s birthday and more than anything, to celebrate the man that he is. Amazingly smart, strong, and handsome. Steve is my best friend and we enjoy life together. He has opened my eyes to photography and I find it so enjoyable and relaxing. During the next few days in Cabo, I’ll be updating my blog and documenting our vacation in Cabo through a lens. Stay tuned...

How photography found me. I was asked to photograph a graduation that started at 5:00 pm and it went bad real fast. The daylight turned to night and I quickly realized that I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't know what all the settings on the camera meant, my pictures wouldn't focus and I didn't know why. The levels of frustration and panic sat in. I was sad to know that my nephew's graduation pictures were going to turn out bad, very bad. I shared my horrific story with my husband. My husband is an experienced photographer who couldn't attend the graduation, and I didn't tell him that I was going to photograph that event. After all, how hard could it be taking pictures. I shared my epic failure of operating a camera with my husband and the next thing I knew he had signed me up for my first class in photography and I absolutely love him for it!
